Meet Our Qualified Staff

Natural Paths offers various types of massage, each therapist specializing in a particular area. Each professional staff person is nationally certified, is a member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) as well as other organizations and is licensed in Connecticut.

All therapists continue their professional education by attending various workshops involving massage, bodywork and general well-being.

John Diaz

A 1999 graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, John participates with the Connecticut Chapter of the AMTA sports massage team and is a team leader and committee member for MERT (Massage Emergency Response Team).

Mary Crawford

Licensed by the state of Connecticut and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, Mary has over 600 hours of hands-on massage therapy. Extensive studies in anatomy, physiology, neurology, kinesiology and pathology enhance Mary's ability to serve her clients. Mary expands her education by attending numerous workshops as well as a certification course for Infant Massage.

Diane Chapin

Diane holds a BS in Biology, and is a Nationally Certified and licensed Massage Therapist in the state of CT. She is also a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. Diane has been in private practice since 1993 and an instructor at massage schools in NC, DE and currently at CCMT in CT. Her sessions combine various soft tissue techniques with techniques that address and support the energy field. The combination provides a relaxing massage and creates the opportunity for the body to rebalance and so reduce stress, relieve pain, and repair injuries. She finds special fulfillment working with the elderly and cancer patients. Ongoing practice of Yoga, Taiji and Qigong help keep her sane.

Fran Baran

Fran graduated from the Groton campus of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in April 2005. She volunteers as a course assistant and tutor at CCMT.

David Martin

David attended the Groton campus of Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and graduated in August of 2005. He joined the staff of Natural Paths Therapeutic Massage, LLC in September. David is CT licensed, nationally certified and a member of the AMTA. He specializes in are deep-tissue, sports massage and therapeutic massage.

Debbie O'Shea

A 1999 graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Debbie has worked with chiropractors & day spa's to learn different modalities before coming here to Natural Paths. She has assisted many times in the instruction of courses for the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She also takes numerous workshops to continue her education. Her latest workshop was a week in Leesburg, Virginia for equine massage.

Ted Kamburi

Ted is a 2004 graduate of the Groton campus CCMT. He is CT Licensed, Nationally certified and a member of the AMTA. He practices therapeutic massage, sports massage and deep tissue.
